The 3000 Words is designed for PC, CE and all writers beginners (of all ages) who have not mastered yet fully the grapheme-phonological code or the alphabetical search. How is it designed? It includes about 3000 common vocabulary words. The words are arranged according to their original sound and their first syllable.
The order of vowel sounds is the same in each list through the directory. (See summary page) The spelling of the original sound is directly visible on the outer tabs. The syllables are written (sometimes with the beginning of the next syllable) in a colorful column. The words are written in bold face of the first syllable heard, the search space is restricted, in ease and speed it wins.
How to use it? – A copy for 3 or 4 students is sufficient. – For optimal use, it is necessary to cut the pages as shown to make the tabs and get the book form. A reinforcement of these tabs with transparent adhesive will prolong the life of the structure (Cooperative Parents will be happy to participate in this task and the bands obtained become an excellent source of mathematical research!). – Some research sessions in small groups will help children to appropriate the tool, mutual work then.
